NRA SMALL BORE RIFLE
Smallbore Rifle Target Shooting consists of shooting .22 caliber bolt action rifles in various types of shooting matches. These matches may require shooting from the prone position only to three (prone, kneeling and standing) positions and four (prone, sitting, kneeling and standing) positions. Distances will be from 50 feet to 100 yards. These matches are open to all. The Junior Shooter Category age is 10 to 21. Regular Shooters Category age is 21 and up. The match schedule will be posted on the right side of the entrance to the Junior Program office on the Pistol Range. It will also be posted on this web site.
For those who would like to try Smallbore Rifle Target Shooting but don’t have the equipment, the Junior Rifle club will loan you the necessary equipment. You will have to furnish the ammunition.
Important: The Range is Closed as of Sunday, November 5, 2006. It will not Reopen. Contact the chairmen to see if there is a new location.
